ABOUT ME

Omar. M.F was born in Batu Kurau, Perak, Malaysia on 17th January 1985.  He received his early education at Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK). In 2003, he had completed his foundation in Physical Science  from Penang Matriculation College (PMC). 4 years later, in 2008, he received the  B.Eng. (Hons) degree in materials engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and the MSc and PhD degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) in 2009 and 2013, respectively. In 2013, he joined the School of Materials Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), as a lecturer and became a researcher under Center of Excellence Geopolymer & Green Technology (CeGeoGTech), UniMAP. His current research interests include synthesis and characterization of various polymer matrix composites (PMCs) concerning on their high strain rates and tribology properties. He is the life member of Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM). He was the recipient of the book prize under R&D category from the ministry of high education ministry in 2015. Meanwhile, from 2014 to 2016, he has been appointed as the Honorary Associate Researcher from the Georghe Asachi Technical Universiti of Iasi, Romania. Currently, he is holding an administration position as Deputy Dean for Centre of Diploma Studies (CDS), UniMAP.
